Beat The January Blues

Ever heard of the "January Blues"? We all know January feels quite depressing as the quality time spent with loved ones over the Christmas holidays are becoming a distant memory, and some of us have broken our New Year’s resolution already! Our moods are slightly dampened after accepting that our bank accounts, as well as our waists, are on a thin diet.

Psychologists have claimed that January 24th is the most depressing day of the year (sorry if that’s your birthday). Think about it, by this date Christmas was one month ago, you know at least one family member that's carrying the flu, pay-day can’t come any sooner and it’s COLD!

So how can you beat the January blues? Here are THREE things you can start doing TODAY, and we have found a way to afford them all!

1. Plan Your Next Holiday

It’s been an expensive few months but that doesn’t mean you can’t escape the January blues by focusing on your next getaway. Maybe a short trip to somewhere warm will help you ignore the cold weather and get you excited about the future. If you could unlock £500 extra where would you like to travel? Keep reading and we’ll show you how!

2. Focus on Your Health

No doubt we’ve all eaten more than necessary over Christmas, who can say no to tasty treats!? It’s time to focus on your health, get fit – live long and stay strong! Some quick ways to significantly improve your health is by juicing vegetables and fruits, as well as exercising.

I’m sure you will notice that a lot of gyms are providing free trials or discounts on their membership, although we know it’s not cheap to live a healthy lifestyle. We can show you how to cover the cost of both gym memberships and eating healthy!

3. Set personal goals

Still single? Why not give online dating a go. It’s by far the easiest and fastest way to finding your soul mate. Mobile apps such as E-harmony, Elite Singles and Bumble are extremely popular, why not give them a go? We know love comes at a cost, so we’ll show you how to cover the cost of those date nights, not forgetting valentines day is already approaching too – it seems that there’s always a reason to spend money.

Perhaps your personal goals are much bigger like owning a home or finally affording a new car?  In most cases we find an excuse to break our New Year’s resolutions, however, some things are just not in our control. We can say with confidence that in most cases, we simply can’t afford to maintain our goals.
